What is being done? The Alzheimer Society Munich (AGM) has been the first regional society to advocate for the needs of people with dementia and their families since 1986. The services offered range from telephone counseling and on-site consultations to regular information events hosted by social therapy and nursing professionals, as well as practical support for those affected in their own homes provided by trained caregivers. This work has accumulated a wealth of knowledge, which must be made available centrally to continuously expand and improve the range of counseling services.

What was good? At the "Munich Good Business Marketplace," the AGM met with members of Hirn Herz Hand eV (Munich Association of Brain Heart Hands), who, in their daily consulting work, are repeatedly faced with the challenge of efficiently organizing decentralized knowledge. In exchange for a presentation on Alzheimer's disease for the employees of H&Z Management Consulting, Hirn Herz Hand eV, together with the AGM staff, first analyzed what knowledge was available and what requirements existed for knowledge management. In the second step, an IT-supported solution was developed to manage and utilize this knowledge according to requirements.
