Help Liberia – Kpon Ma e.V. (Liberia)

What is being done? The Help Liberia – Kpon Ma association was founded in 2009 by Thomas Böhner in response to the declining commitment of many aid organizations after the country's independence in 2005. Its primary goal is to combat child and infant mortality in this malaria-prone region, based on the principle of "health as a prerequisite for education." The association's support ranges from covering the wages of medical personnel to covering the costs of medication and hospital equipment to organizing necessary specialized treatments.

What was good? The HHH association supports Kpon Ma eV primarily on a project basis. In 2012, our donation helped the ward procure fever-reducing medication for the treatment of malaria. We also covered the costs of materials and transport necessary to equip the clinics with termite-proof metal furniture. Hirn Herz Hand eV also supports the project with a regular donation of €75 per month, which allows those responsible on site to plan and budget accurately.
